Termites and Fumigators

Is this a blog of the Termites' Creed? Or is it the Termite's Screed? Good question.

Back in 1986, when Reagan, for heaven’s sake, was President and Bob Dole (R-Viagra) was the Majority Leader of the Senate, Pat Robertson was exercised over what he saw as a dark and malignant liberal coup -- the takeover and destruction of America institutions by rapacious “termites.”

Robertson warned of his discovery that termites "are into destroying institutions that have been built by Christians, whether it is universities, governments, our own traditions."

“The termites,” he raged, “are in charge now, and that is not the way it ought to be, and the time has arrived for a Godly fumigation.”

It all had something to do with Culture Wars.

In any case, the Fumigators got their way. Eventually, they landed themselves a House Speaker Gingrich (R-Adultery) and got another dose of Dole (though the two had to contend with that Termite Clinton), plus Bush I and eventually a president in the form of a new and improved Bush (R- Twin Towers/ Pet Goat; Mission Accomplished; Heck of a Job, Brownie).The New Bush fumigated Iraq, Afghanistan, the economy, and big chunks of the Constitution (Separation of Powers and lots of Amendments – 1st, 5th and 14th, etc. . . )

But after over seven years of fumigation, the American people were choking. The Fumigator in Chief had poisoned their homes, their jobs, their savings and their health insurance. Perhaps as bad, he had poisoned our relations with virtually every nation in the world, as well as their leaders and their people.

And so the Termites struck back and stood up. Millions of tiny legs kicked up the dust. Efforts to reignite the sorry old Culture Wars of the eighties fell flat, and we elected one of our own -- a Termite. Okay, he might not be an actual Termite. But he’s not a Fumigator.

Be forewarned. The Fumigators will start spraying their toxic fumes again, painting Obama and all who support him as Termites. They will shoot from Sarah Palin’s (R-“I say Ayers!”) Real America, from her Pro-America parts of America, and from Michelle Bachman’s (R-Paranoia) parts of the country that survive her proposed “penetrating expose” and “great look” at who is pro-America or anti-America. When that’s not enough, they will turn around and shoot back on those pro-America parts that aren’t quite pro enough.Oh, hell. They already are.

This is the Termites' proud blog and an antidote to the Fumigators' poisonous fumes. Our creed is to do no harm. Our screed calls out those that do.
